Our Organizations

Cohen Philanthropies encompasses the philanthropic endeavors of Steve and Alex Cohen through the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation, the Amazin’ Mets Foundation, and the AMC Innovative Health Foundation.

Founded in 2001, the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation is committed to inspiring philanthropy and community service by creating awareness, offering guidance, and leading by example to show the world what giving can do.

Guided by Foundation President Alex Cohen’s philosophy of “Inspired Giving,” the Cohens have a personal connection to every cause supported through the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation, including children’s healthcare and education, underserved communities, the arts, the environment, Lyme and tickborne diseases research, women’s health, and more. The Cohens support a wide range of efforts and believe in giving where they can make the biggest difference—even if that means changing course.

Following the Cohen’s purchase of the New York Mets in 2020, the Amazin’ Mets Foundation has served as the philanthropic arm of the New York Mets, providing needed services and opportunities to children, families, and underserved groups in the neighborhoods and communities near Citi Field.

The Amazin’ Mets Foundation inspires change and makes a lasting impact on and off the field.

AMC Innovative Health Foundation was established by Alex Cohen to address critical gaps she recognized in research, education, and resources for complex, stigmatized, and historically underserved areas of health.

AMC Innovative Health Foundation accelerates innovative research and expands public awareness to ensure scientific progress translates into real-world improvements in care and support for patients and their families.
